SA 515 GR.70 Boiler plates Descriptions:

SA 515 GR.70 PLATES has found its utility in many industrial applications. Some applications are power generation, pulp & paper industry, power offshore oil drilling industry, specialty chemicals, and pharmaceuticals. The other application where it is found used is condensers, gas processing, chemical equipment, seawater equipment, pharmaceutical equipment, and heat exchangers. During the designing process of heating tools such as ducts, boilers, hot rollers, containers, if temperature crosses 450 deg C and within 550 deg C the boiler quality AS plates can be used efficiently for fabricating the mud drums, steam drums, etc. The resistant to abrasion is making it use at the harshest working condition like in the mining industry.

SA 515 GR.70 PRESSURE VESSEL STEEL PLATES are subjected for the test and it is done for checking the product quality. The tests done are hardiness tests, pitting corrosion tests, mechanical tests, and chemical tests. Also, more tests like radiography test, ultrasonic test, macro test, micro test, flare test, flattening tests, etc are conducted. The documents like QAP, heat treatment chart, packaging list, fumigation certification, MTC as per EN 10204/3.1b, third party test report are provided.

Material and Manufacture

The steel shall be killed and made to a coarse austenitic grain size practice.

Heat Treatment

ASME A515 plates thickness in 50 mm [2 inch] thickness and under are normally supplied with as-rolled condition, unless it is ordered as requested.
Plates over 50 mm [2 in] in thickness shall be normalized.
